FIRST COMMUNION!!

This weekend was a HUGE weekend for our oldest son. He received first communion and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! For us converts, its HUGE....on many levels. Many faiths cannot understand, and that is fine, but watching my first born receive the body of Jesus Christ was truly emotional.
I never thought I would have children but to have 5 is a blessing..... Jax was our first blessing.
We celebrated with the Guilloteaus and the Huberts. They have 2 lovely girls, but Jax refused to put his arm around them for any pictures.... Just tooooo many cooties! :}

Another thing- my 2 best friends from high school came in for this special day. Amy, who was my very first best friend since jr. high school, came in for the day with her 2 kids. Natalie and Wayne, who are Jax's God parents, brought their 2 kids.  Together it makes a gaggle of kids... and a dog ( Lucy).

Ok Folks- it was crazy and for some reason I didn't get ONE stinkin' picture of Amy and the kids... but as soon as I do- it will go here!
:}
It was wonderful to see our kids run, scream, etc. But it was hard to tell my "Chicas" good-bye. Over 20 years of fun times. Alot of memories we have- good, bad and ugly. Lets just say I am glad the 80's are over and so is the perm and front poof!! Still love the music ( oh, sweet Chad Briggs and those AM pickups).  Even though they are in Houston, its hard to imagine being 2k miles away..... not a car ride anymore.

The weekend ended with some wonderful friends who hosted a BBQ for us. Toped with a houseboat ride up and down Lake Austin. Gorgeous. The most beautiful thing, having all the families sit and do the rosary. WOW!! The kids led it and it was hard not to choke up...... God's Grace and Peace in one moment.
I realize, all things will be fine. We are not saying good-bye forever, its just a longer time between visits.
Friday is Thomas' last day of work..... Pray for us.

Thank you Aziz and Hausmann Family
We had a blast!!
God Bless you.
